I wanted to move to a third world country, now I don’t have to

Dear Lord, thank you that South Australian voters are so gullible

I have a friend who owns a shop in Hahndorf. He’s just one of many businesses now relying on a diesel backup generator to keep his stock fresh. But, as Mr Weatherill has noted, this is a clear example of “market failure“. Surely we can’t blame renewables?! Perhaps it’s the fault of climate change that the wind stopped blowing. Time to double down and “nationalise” the system – because that’s always worked so well in past decades. Sigh.

Ironically, our CO2 emissions have gone up due to our increased reliance on dirty coal from across the border. Sound familiar? Consider Germany:

In other news, Senator Penny Wong has said people who were blaming horses for the increase in manure on the road were just free market zealots.

“No one can blame our policy of banning automobiles for the increase in horse manure”, she said. “It’s in the best interests of the environment that everyone goes back to using the horse and buggy, and it’s not our fault that the free market has created all those piles of horse poo”.
